GOD is bigger! Bigger than your fear, bigger than your anxiety and doubts, bigger than your pain, bigger than your past, bigger than any of your hurts, bitterness or resentments.

The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love ME. I will protect those who trust in MY NAME! When they call on ME, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them MY salvation.” (Psalm 19:14-16)

I often find myself drowning in life’s hurts because Rather than calling upon the LORD, I try to heal myself.

All I need to do is trust in the LORD, with all my heart and soul… and HE rescues me because HE is bigger! Amen 🙏

What well do you drink from???

Have you ever heard the phrase, taking your issue to an empty well? Or perhaps you have heard that you can become an empty well if you do not fill up properly. As a mother of five kids, I have operated with an empty well often. Children, work, household responsibilities, family and friends can all deplete our wells. SO then, where does one go to “refill”. Depletion can leave one vulnerable to reaching for fill-ups in bad places. So I ask: What well do you drink from?

Does this sound familiar? It has been one of those days; your boss is yelling, the kids have projects due, you just had a disagreement with your mate, car has a flat tire, paycheck is not lasting, just lost a job, the doc called with bad news……. (you get the picture). What do you do in those circumstances? Often, I will admit, this is what it looks like for me: I scream at my husband, complain to my friends, take a sleeping pill and call it a night. I will also admit that I have used food, and have probably drank a few too many drinks in the past. THESE ARE EMPTY WELLS….. they are pits that will only lead to destruction.

Now, let’s take a look at the good “well”. The well of faith; the never ending well… the one that JESUS offers.

In Isaiah 12:3 the bible says: “Therefore you will joyously draw water From the springs of salvation.” And then in John 4:14, “but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up eternal life.”

We see here that JESUS offers us eternal life and salvation from HIS well. However, in Psalm 23:27 where the word exclaims: “For a harlot is a deep pit and an adulterous woman is a narrow well”

TRY THIS: Replace the words “harlot: and adulterous woman” with whatever you use as a “bad well” …. Gossiping, over-eating, drugs, drinking, short temperament – ---not so good huh?

The next time you see yourself reaching for that dried up narrow deep pit of a well, instead, PRAY to JESUS to refill you with HIM. OR if you have not accepted JESUS as your “well” – then now is a good a time as any. Go ahead, tell JESUS you want to accept HIM into your life and want to turn your life and will over to HIM who will provide the well of eternal life. I promise you that once you start going or refilling from THAT well, you WILL see a miracle occur…. What do you have to lose?

What well do you want to drink from?

I am Deni, short for Denise. I grew up in a Jewish home, in a Jewish neighborhood and a Jewish family. In 3rd grade we moved. We moved to a mostly non-Jewish area.... that is where JESUS found me. I say found me because I yet had not acknowledged it, but would find out later.......by grace, HE HELD ME ALL ALONG, just a lil Jewish girl from Philly.
