GOD is bigger! Bigger than your fear, bigger than your anxiety and doubts, bigger than your pain, bigger than your past, bigger than any of your hurts, bitterness or resentments.

The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love ME. I will protect those who trust in MY NAME! When they call on ME, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them MY salvation.” (Psalm 19:14-16)

I often find myself drowning in life’s hurts because Rather than calling upon the LORD, I try to heal myself.

All I need to do is trust in the LORD, with all my heart and soul… and HE rescues me because HE is bigger! Amen 🙏

EMPOWERED

There are times in this life where I feel weak. Challenges, problems, self-doubt comes flying towards me. Sometimes many at once.

I read the word "empowered" today in a devotional. That word just stood out like a bright shiny light!

Every single one of us will face opposition, troubles and life's blows! Believers or non-believers.... however, as a believer; I am empowered!

Not a fan of superheroes (I know, shocking, right?) however, when I go through something, I equate it to this.

So you have Clark Kent. He sees trouble happening. And the first thing he does is look for that telephone booth. He knows that he will receive his power to face his opponents. He goes in meek Clark and comes out Superman!

We got that! We have our telephone booth! Yep!

Problem comes, big ones, health issues, mourning, lack of money, piles of bills, fear, temptation, rocky relationships.... you name it!

We get down on bended knee or close our eyes and pray! We call on our empowerment! We call on the LORD! And HE will empower us to face whatever comes our way!

We are never rendered helpless, no matter what things look like! David had a huge monster facing him. He only had a slingshot. Yet, he was empowered by the LORD and put the beat down on Goliath! Not alone- not on his own right or glory - but by the power of the LORD!

We get to tap into that!!

Isaiah 41:10 is a good one to keep handy in times of disempowerment!

"Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
"

Troubles will come, however be not worried, the LORD will strengthen (empower) you! You will step into the glory of the LORD (telephone booth) and HE will strengthen you, help you and lift you!

Yep, you got the best superhero cape and powers around; no matter what you face! Stronger and empowered by our LORD!
Like David, stand straight and know you have the power. Stop looking at the size of your weapon! It may be only a slingshot - however when empowered by the LORD, it becomes an army!

Hallelujah, I am empowered and I will meet and beat any opposition that comes my way! Head held up, got my praise and prayer on - it's all good in this neighborhood! (Ok, got a little carried away there)

But that is how my FATHER makes me feel: empowered!
Thank YOU JESUS ♥️

I am Deni, short for Denise. I grew up in a Jewish home, in a Jewish neighborhood and a Jewish family. In 3rd grade we moved. We moved to a mostly non-Jewish area.... that is where JESUS found me. I say found me because I yet had not acknowledged it, but would find out later.......by grace, HE HELD ME ALL ALONG, just a lil Jewish girl from Philly.
