Yesterday was a tough day! But you wouldn't have known it. My usual is to "freak out". I didn't yesterday! What an amazing blessing! I had a really tough business call which potentially could have been the make-it or break-it of a business I am launching. I have been working for months and months on it, and during the call, it seemed things were sinking rapidly. Then ... I heard that still small voice, "it's going to be okay". And the call ended on a much better note. But more than that my fear turned into calm! Some days are just tough! Bills, health, marriage, kids - it's exhausting listing these and they are but a fraction of most of our trials. Yesterday was one of those days where I felt like I was pelted more than usual. But in the midst of the chaos of my day and the state of my emotions, I smiled. I love those days where I am so plugged into the LORD, that faith, hope, peace and love become my normal reactions. Then it hit me, why not make that my goal of each day! You know, wake up and pray for my heart to rest in the cushion of CHRIST at all times! I remember when I would tell my hassling child to be quiet! Then soon after they would whine "but Ma"! And as soon as they did, I held up my hand commanding that they stop! We have that power inside of us. We can calm our storms in the name of JESUS. That is BIG! I don't have to throw my hand on my forehead in dramatic fashion every time a hassle or trouble comes my way. Instead, I can remain peaceful because my FATHER already is ahead of whatever trouble I am facing. Ahhhhhh! Romans 12:12! So that is what that means! Be joyful in hope... Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. How different is my approach when I am joyful in hope. It doesn't matter what things look like around me! My GOD is a miracle maker - a problem taker and an earth shaker! Thank YOU JESUS ❤️
